is double that of the quotes I got online from brokers. Is it better to go with State Farm or one of the cut rate insurance companies? I mean in the event of an accident and getting paid. I also rent a lot of cars and will be using the insurance I buy for those. And, not get the insurance that the rental companies over charge for

I use Gieco and they saved me tons of money like $1, 700 a year. I still pay a lot because I am a 21 y / o male but not like before with Progressive and GMAC. And they online quotes are very accurate. Also the service has been the best if had yet. They are always nice and considerate on the phone. I did have an accident and even then they were very helpful. I recommend the gecko to everyone. Great service and price. And no I do not work there, but It does sound they way

You may want to look at exactly what they cover and also look up their rating. I have had State Farm for many years and am happy with them. My car was stolen and wrecked. They paid me more than I paid for the car, the retail value, some of the items in the car and made the process very easy
i have saved a lot of money with state farm personally. my insurance just went down $50 again this past month. they're pretty reasonable in my experience. not a bad company at all
I just switched to Met Life for my car and home and saved a bundle over Allied, which I was with for 17 years! I would call a few more local agents and then compare the coverage. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but double sounds off. I have never checked out brokers on line becuase I like to have someone locally just in case. Good luck!
